A studio, not a one-product company
Most companies start with a product and then look for a problem. We do it the other way round.
Studio Monty looks for problems that are real right now – ours, or those a company brings to us – and builds solutions that carry weight: software, automation, AI integration, whatever actually fits. Our core capability is aggregating data, interpreting it in a way that makes sense, and translating it into logic that creates genuine value for someone else.
Where our knowledge comes from
Long before AI became everyday infrastructure, we were working on the technologies that turn data into understandable knowledge: content automation, natural language generation, semantic data models, data engineering, large language models.
We built a large language model together – one of us designing the structures that make data usable at scale, one focused on semantics and language, one turning all of it into a machine that actually runs. That work is also where we learned the competence models today’s skill intelligence is built on. It’s the reason we’re confident talking about skills and the labour market at all.
Spot Problems, build solutions
Have a problem that hasn’t been solved yet? Tell us about it. The first big problem we solved: the labour market
The labour market wasn’t the plan. It was our first solved problem.
It started with a personal experience: trying to move forward professionally and realising that searching by job title barely works; because even recruiters often don’t know which skills actually sit behind a title.
The expertise for a solution already existed from our shared work on data and language models. What was missing was a concrete problem to apply it to. The labour market became that case: big enough to matter, specific enough to start immediately.
